COVID-19 March 11 Update – No Scheduled Media Availability Today

Mar 11, 2020

Reno, Nev. March 11, 2020. The Washoe County Health District (WCHD) will not have a scheduled press briefing today, March 11, 2020. There are no additional presumptive positive COVID-19 cases in Washoe County and no other relevant COVID-19 updates to report to media or the public at this time.
We are aware of the World Health Organization’s declaration of COVID-19 as a pandemic. There is no direct impact of this declaration to WCHD at this time.
COVID-19 testing is continuing to occur and we are urging the public to take precaution to reduce their risk of getting sick, and preventing COVID-19, which are:

Wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
Cough or sneeze into your sleeve, or tissue
Avoid touching your face
Stay home if you are sick
Try alternatives to shaking hands, like an elbow bump
There is no recommendation to wear masks at this time to prevent yourself from getting sick
If possible, work from home
For businesses, go here for cleaning information
