Wolf Pack and Washoe County celebrate foster families

by | Jan 29, 2020

Reno, Nev. Jan. 29, 2020. Nevada Wolf Pack Women’s Basketball and the Washoe County Human Services Agency (HSA) invite fans to join them in celebrating Washoe County’s foster families at Lawlor Events Center for the Have a Heart Adoption Awareness game on Saturday, Feb. 1, at 1 p.m.
A Washoe County foster family will be honored on court during a timeout and presented a game ball. The Wolf Pack has several fun-filled activities planned for foster kids prior to and following the game:

Local spirit programs are invited to join Wolf Pack cheer for the game and perform together during halftime.
Join the Girls on the Run (sierra division) for a pre-game family and kids Fair.
Postame autographs.

The goal of the HSA and Wolf Pack partnership is to support Washoe County foster families, who will be recognized during the game and raise awareness about the more than 60 kids in need of a forever home. HSA provides safety and stability in a nurturing environment until the child is returned home to family or a permanent adoptive home is found.
