MEDIA ADVISORY: Washoe County Commissioners to appoint representative for Nevada State Assembly District 30

Reno, Nev. March 25, 2019. Washoe County Commissioners are expected to appoint a replacement for Nevada State Assembly District 30 during their regularly scheduled Board of County Commission meeting on March 26, 2019, no sooner than 3 p.m.
Washoe County has received 16 qualified applicants to represent District 30, previously occupied by Mike Sprinkle who resigned Thursday, March 14, 2019.
Who: Appointment to be made by the Board of County Commissioners.
What: Appointment of Nevada State Assembly District 30 representative to serve at the Nevada Legislature currently in session, and serve until the election in November 2020, when voters will select their representative for the seat.
When: Tuesday, March 26, 2019, during the regularly scheduled Board of County Commissioners meeting. Meeting to begin at 10 a.m., the appointment process to begin no sooner than 3 p.m.
