FINAL: Washoe County unofficial final voter turnout is 21.58 percent
Washoe County Registrar of Voters Luanne Cutler reports the unofficial, final voter turnout in Washoe County was 21.58 percent for the 2016 Primary Election.
52,039 Washoe County residents cast a ballot
20,116 Democrats voted equaling 22.8 percent of registered Democrats
26,906 Republicans voted equaling 28.7 percent of registered Republicans

7:12 p.m. All 78 polls are now closed.
Washoe County Registrar of Voters Luanne Cutler reports all 78 polls are now closed. Cutler said the day went really well.
“Today was a great day to see democracy in action. Everything went smoothly at all 78 polling locations,” Cutler said. “I want to thank the hundreds of poll workers who gave their day and everybody else who participated in this great, patriotic process.”
Unofficial voting results from today’s Primary will be posted at https://www.washoecounty.us/voters/index.php once the Secretary of State’s Office confirms all polls statewide have closed.

4 p.m. Voter turnout at 16.3 percent. Polls close at 7 p.m.
Washoe County Registrar of Voters Luanne Cutler is reporting that 14,394 people have voted today as of 4 p.m. In total, 39,443 people have voted in today’s primary and in early voting as of 4 p.m., which is a turnout percentage of 16.3 percent.
There is still time for residents to vote as all 78 polling locations close at 7 p.m. today.
Washoe County Manager John Slaughter toured some polling places in Washoe County on Tuesday and said it was great seeing County residents participating in such an important day.
“Polling places were very organized and voters are getting in and out quickly,” Slaughter said. “I want to give a big thank you to each and every one of the poll workers for giving up their day to help the community get out and vote. I encourage everyone who registered to vote to take this opportunity to participate in this very important process.”

Must be registered with Washoe County.
Head to your assigned polling location to vote. To find out where you are supposed to go, look on the back of your sample ballot, visit www.washoecounty.us/voters, or call the Washoe County Registrar of Voters Office at (775) 328-3670.
ID is not required to vote, but bring identification in case your signature doesn’t match the signature when you registered.
Bring your sample ballot. It’s not required, but can help speed up the process.

10:15 a.m. 4,219 people have voted in Washoe County Tuesday morning.

All 78 polling locations are open and available for Washoe County registered voters wanting to cast a ballot for this year’s Primary.

7:15 a.m. Washoe County polls are open and running smoothly
Washoe County Registrar of Voters Luanne Cutler reports all 78 County polling places opened on time and without any problems at 7 a.m. this morning.
“We’re anticipating short lines at the polls today. Optimum voting times for the shortest wait are during mid-morning and mid-afternoon,” said Cutler.
Registered Washoe County voters who wish to cast a ballot in the 2016 Primary have until 7 p.m. PST this evening to do so at their assigned polling place.
Any voter who is unsure where their voting location is can find it on the back of their sample ballot or visit www.washoecounty.us/voters. All you have to do is put in your last name and date of birth online and you’ll have access to all of your election information.
Voters are asked to fill out their sample ballot ahead of time to help speed up the voting process today.

Important: THE NUMBER OF PRECINCTS REPORTING WILL NOT CHANGE DURING THE EVENING. THIS NUMBER WILL REMAIN 0/454 UNTIL ALL RESULTS HAVE BEEN TABULATED.
Our system does not report on election night by precinct. A precinct-by-precinct report (abstract) will be released following the Board of County Commissioners Canvass of the election. That will take place June 21, 2016. At that point, the election results will become “Final and Official.”
